GETTING THE NEW YEAR OFF ON THE ANCIENT PATH

Many things come to mind when someone thinks about starting over.
The chance for a fresh start means that you can take the steps you need to reach your goals.

It could mean making up for mistakes made in the past. It also means starting over to improve your skills, make your decisions stronger, and clarify your goals and aims.

Most people may be excited about starting over, but people who deal with worry and sadness may not be so sure. They are now considering whether they can fix the
problem and get something good out of starting over. Despite everything they've been through, they still need to believe in the benefits of starting over, like a fresh start and a new point of view.
However, the strong desire to start over remains in the hearts of all people.
When you start over, it is essential to have “faith” in yourself, your goals, and your ability to reach
them. Everyone gets this gift from the New Year. As a result, most of us are looking forward to it very much. We can make plans for the best results that next year might bring, but
some questions, doubts, and worries still need to be answered.
It's great to have big plans for the coming year, but it's also essential to remember the Ways of the Lord, the ANCIENT PATH, which can lead to success and, more importantly,
a deep sense of joy and fulfillment that is hard to find in today's world.

Jeremiah 6:16 NIV
This is what the LORD says: "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you
said, 'We will not walk in it.’

When considering the existence of humans, the Ancient Path may be best understood as the road that has been tried and proven to be dependable over time, the distinctive path that has never failed. However, some people have chosen to ignore the benefits that the Ancient Path brings to humanity because of the negative associations that its term has (old, out of date). Traditional values hold little weight in a culture that focuses on moving forward, where the latest and greatest are always considered superior. However, it is essential to understand that everything the modern world has to give is always empty on the inside, even if it looks great on the outside.

Thereby, in 2024, let us pause for a little from our dogged pursuit of life's ambitions.
The future is worth considering. We should think about what we're doing. Making history is undoubtedly within reach next year, thanks to the opportunities that will present
themselves. But we must actively seek and follow the Ancient Path, for it is the Way that has stood the test of time. Instead of taking the present path of disobedience, may you
advance much in your life by following a life marked by obedience, righteousness, and respect for God.
Amid the ever-changing beliefs that shape and influence people's lives, may you ground your life upon the immutable Word of God. May you embrace the Ancient Path
humbly, demonstrating compassion and embodying mercy while earning success and offering praise and exaltation to the Lord.

Each of us stands at a crossroads in our lives. At these crossroads, we must choose:   will we do things our Way, or will we do things that give God the glory?
Even though some see the Ancient Path as old and outdated, it has shown its worth throughout the years.
As you face the New Year, may you choose to walk the Ancient Path.
